Cloward/Piven Strategy
An article published back in February 2009 is resurfacing due to its clear and precise explanation of how the Cloward/Piven Strategy of creating and managing crisis is dictating the actions of our federal government. Please read this article carefully, reread, and come to see the motivations behind our government’s actions. Under their plans, the end justifies the means.
The Cloward/Piven Strategy of Economic Recovery
February 07, 2009, American Thinker
By Nancy Coppock
Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation… [Emphasis added.]
Anglers Beware - Fishing Rights At Risk
Feds to 60 Million American Anglers: We don’t need you
IRVINE, Calif. USA - October 5, 2009 - A recently published administration document outlines a structure that could result in closures of sport fishing in salt and freshwater areas across America. The White House created an Interagency Oceans Policy Task Force in June and gave them only 90 days to develop a comprehensive federal policy for all U.S. coastal, ocean and Great Lakes waters. Under the guise of ‘protecting’ these areas, the current second phase of the Task Force direction is to develop zoning which may permanently close vast areas of fishing waters nationwide. This is to be completed by December 9, 2009.
Dave Pfeiffer, President of Shimano American Corporation explained, “In spite of extensive submissions from the recreational fishing community to the Task Force in person and in writing, they failed to include any mention of the over one million jobs or the 6o million anglers which may be affected by the new policies coast to coast. Input from the environmental groups who want to put us off the water was adopted into the report verbatim - the key points we submitted as an industry were ignored.”
Recreational fishing generates a $125 billion annual economy in the United States and supports jobs in every state according to government figures. Through the Sport Fish Restoration program, anglers have provided more than $5 billion through excise taxes on fishing tackle to fishery conservation and education for decades. Obama and ‘Redistributive Change’ - National Review Online
Obama and ‘Redistributive Change’
Forget the recession and the “uninsured.” Obama has bigger fish to fry.By Victor Davis Hanson, National Review Online, August 26, 2009
The first seven months of the Obama administration seemingly make no sense. Why squander public approval by running up astronomical deficits in a time of pre-existing staggering national debt?
Why polarize opponents after promising bipartisan transcendence?
Why create vast new programs when the efficacy of big government is already seen as dubious?
But that is exactly the wrong way to look at these first seven months of Obamist policy-making.
Take increased federal spending and the growing government absorption of GDP. Given the resiliency of the U.S. economy, it would have been easy to ride out the recession. In that case we would still have had to deal with a burgeoning and unsustainable annual federal deficit that would have approached $1 trillion.
Instead, Obama may nearly double that amount of annual indebtedness with more federal stimuli and bailouts, newly envisioned cap-and-trade legislation, and a variety of fresh entitlements. Was that fiscally irresponsible? Yes, of course. Read the rest of this entry »
Classroom Indoctrination - Sept 8 - Compliments of Barack Obama
Obama’s Classroom Campaign: No Junior Lobbyist Left Behind

“ABC” stands for All Barack’s Children. On Sept. 8, young students across the country will be watching television. Yes, they’ll be parked in front of boob tubes and computer screens watching President Obama’s address on education.
Instead of practicing cursive, reviewing multiplication tables, diagramming sentences or learning something concrete, America’s kids will be lectured about the importance of learning. And then the schoolchildren, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, will be exhorted to Do Something — other than sit in their seats and receive academic instruction, that is.
Education Secretary Arne Duncan dispatched letters to principals nationwide, boasting, “This is the first time an American president has spoken directly to the nation’s schoolchildren about persisting and succeeding in school.” But the goal is not merely morale boosting. According to White House event-related guides developed by the U.S. Department of Education’s Teaching Fellows, grade-school students will be told to “listen to the speech” and “think about the following”: Read the rest of this entry »
