Dr. Marc Trager served as a radiologist in the U.S. Air Force in Austin, Texas, after graduation from medical school and completion of his internship and residency. Dr. Trager was honorably discharged and began his private practice in radiology after completing his duty in the Air Force. It was Mary, a graduate from the Bellin School of Nursing, who soon introduced Marc to the beauty and charm of the 8th District.

During his 35 years of medical practice, Dr. Trager has gained a deep understanding of the health care system. His experience in running radiology departments, negotiating contracts, and listening to patients has furthered his insight. He is currently a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America, the American Medical Association, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the Brown County Medical Society.

Dr. Trager remains involved in the Green Bay community after recently stepping back from active practice.  He serves on the Village of Howard Sex Offender Residence Appeals Board where he works to keep his neighborhood safe. Additionally, Dr. Trager helps lead the local Crown Financial Ministries, an organization that seeks to instill principles of financial integrity and discipline. Dr. Trager has mentored and counseled individuals and families facing financial difficulties through his work with Crown. Dr. Trager also stays fit as he coaches and referees youth soccer in the Green Bay area. His coaching responsibilities have included several competitive travel teams, the Green Bay East Girls JV Team, and the Edison Middle School 7th-8th Grade Team.

Dr. Trager has been married to his wife Mary for 31 years. He has four children and two grandchildren.

Northwoods Climate Change Debate
Hosted by: Northwoods Patriots
January 30 — 12 noon
Northland Pines High School Auditorium

Event is Free, Non-Partisan, and Open to Public
All are encouraged to attend

Climate change issues are stirring heated discussions across all continents these days, and to bring the issue close to home, the Northwoods Patriots group located in Vilas County is hosting a Northwoods Climate Change Debate January 30, beginning at 12:00 noon at the Northland Pines High School in Eagle River, Wisconsin. This is an event that will offer all who attend the opportunity to listen, learn and decide for themselves the truth about the important issue of Anthropogenic Climate Change in our world. The facts and the history of both sides of the issue will be presented, discussed, and debated in a fair and balanced forum that will include audience participation. The event is free, non-partisan and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to attend. The doors will open at 11:30 am.

Special Invitations have been sent to 220 high schools from mid-Wisconsin north, including the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, to encourage participation by area youth as well, as this is a watershed issue that will affect their lives for years to come. The event organizers believe it is vitally important that our youth are involved in this debate and given the opportunity to form their own opinions on what is being presented as they are the future of our country. School faculty and School Board Members have also been invited and encouraged to attend.

Everyone who attends will walk away with a more in-depth knowledge of just what both sides of the scientific world are claiming regarding changes to our climate and what affect this will have on our future. Handouts will be available.

The event will begin at noon with the viewing of two short films to lay the foundations for both sides of the Climate Change Debate Issue. At 1:15 a panel of distinguished, nationally-recognized scientists will respond to questions from Moderator John McCaugh. In addition, with the event’s special emphasis on area youth, students who have submitted questions upon entering the forum will also be able to pose questions to the panel of experts.

Questions will also be taken from the general audience.

Confirmed Panel Participants include Dr. Willie Soon, Astrophysicist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. (The views expressed by Dr. Soons are strictly his and do not necessarily reflect those of Harvard University, the Smithsonian Institution, or the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics)

Dr. David Legates, Delaware State Climatologist, Associate Professor of Geography, Ocean Science and Engineering at the University of Delaware and the former director of Climate Research at the same university.

Please share with friends, neighbors, co-workers and students too!

May we celebrate Lincoln’s contributions to American and Republican Party history

May we celebrate Lincoln’s contributions to American and Republican Party history.

Grand Old Partisan salutes Abraham Lincoln, who rose to national prominence with a speech denouncing an 1854 law, written by a Democrat Senator, that allowed slavery to expand into the western territories.  Two years later, he co-founded the Illinois Republican Party.  Lincoln was runner-up for the 1856 Republican vice presidential nomination and then became a Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate.

More than two years before becoming the first Republican president, Lincoln spoke for the ages: “The Republican Party, on the contrary [to the Democrats], holds that this government was instituted to secure the blessings of freedom, and that slavery is an unqualified evil… [Republicans] will oppose in all its length and breadth the modern Democratic idea that slavery is as good as freedom.”

Abraham Lincoln said:

“The past is the cause of the present, and the present will be the cause of the future. All these are links in the endless chain stretching from the finite to the infinite. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.”

See RepublicanBasics.com and Back to Basics for the Republican Party for more information on the heritage of the GOP.

October 18 Updates: David King Visit and Not Evil Just Wrong Film Premiere

Republican Candidate Pastor David King visited Eagle River for a Meet & Greet Sunday.  Pastor King has inspiring ideas to bring to the state and enthusiasm for the position of Secretary of State, which he believes should serve as an advocate to the people of our state.  Here is Vilas County Chairman Jim Knuth pictured with Pastor King:

After the Meet & Greet, most of us made our way to the Vilas Theater for the world-premiere simultaneous viewing of Not Evil Just Wrong documentary.  This film viewing was conducted by the Northwoods Patriots and provided information about the true costs of the global warming hysteria and its most harmful effects on average Americans as well as developing countries.  The theater was filled to capcacity and unfortunately dozens were turned away Sunday eve.  A future airing of this film is in the planning stages so stay tuned to the Patriots for info on upcoming showing of the movie.

You’re invited to Meet & Greet Pastor King - Candidate for WI Sec of State!
