Values Voter Summit 2009 - Washington, DC

“Rise to the Challenge, Rally to the Cause” is the slogan from this year’s event - the Values Voter Summit 2009 - in Washington DC as social conservatives from across the country gathered, including our very own, Kim Simac!  She was able to hear various speakers and was even interviewed and quoted in these news articles from the event:

The Values Voter Summit 2009 offered an impressive array of speakers, interesting breakout sessions and their web site now offers various webcasts from the past several days!  The webcasts include many of the speeches from the Summit and all provide a wealth of information for us.

A straw poll at the summit concluded that Mike Huckabee be on top as the Presidential Nominee in 2012 with 28% of the vote. Here’s Mike Huckabee’s speech at the summit: Values Voter Summit Webcasts

From the Summit, Kim relayed updates to us including the need for urgency that we all contact our legislators in regards to recent national security concerns.  Those at the summit encouraged contacting legislators by fax or mail.
